5 Places in Your Kitchen You Might Forget to Clean
Are you missing some of the dirtiest places when you clean your kitchen? The following places are some that a lot of people miss when cleaning their kitchen.
1. Cutting Board – People usually use their cutting board and rinse it off. After multiple uses, food will eventually get stuck in the cut marks on the board. Bacteria will begin to form if it isn’t cleaned properly. Every so often you should really use vinegar to disinfect your cutting board. If you want to deep clean it, scrub it with a baking soda paste and salt.
2. Garbage Can – Everyone knows how dirty garbage is, but what about the garbage can?! Obviously that is going to be filled with germs but does anyone ever really deep clean their garbage can? There are about 411 germs per square inch on your garbage can…. Give that a good deep clean and bleach it out!
3. Kitchen Sink Area – If you really think about what is going on around your sink, it is honestly really gross. Raw meat, dirty dish water, messes that just get wiped up… gross. The best way to deep clean this area is to scrub it down with baking soda. Also, soak the sink with vinegar to disinfect it.
4. Coffee Maker Reservoir – In my opinion, this is the #1 spot people ALWAYS forget about! At least once a month, you should remove the reservoir and wash with hot soapy water. Flush it out with vinegar to fully disinfect.
5. Refrigerator Handle – Imagine all of the different, germy hands that have grabbed the fridge handle. Use dishwashing soap to clean it. Avoid using bleach close to your refrigerator since food is close by.
These were just a few places that are easily missed in your kitchen. Make sure to deep clean your whole kitchen at least once a month to keep things clean and refreshing!
