Millennials

In the United States the largest generation right now is the Millennials.  You aren’t going to beat them, so you might as well join them!  That’s my philosophy!!!   Millennials were roughly one-third of the total world population in 2013.

I own our local John L. Scott, Orting office and I’m in the Gen X generation, my son Brandon has worked with me for the past three years and he is a Millennial.  We love working with Millennials and personally I have conditioned myself to making sure I stay up on the best forms to communicate with this generation.  Honestly, I feel the Millennials are keeping me young and I love it!

Millennial’s use social media more frequently than other generations.  Three-Quarters of them use social media compared to only half of the Gen-Xers and less than one-third of the Baby Boomers.  There is a serious disconnect here.  If you are not connecting with Millennials in their environment, you might as well stop trying.  Don’t ask a Millennial if the number they just gave you is their home number or cell!  And PLEASE… don’t ask a Millennial if you can fax them something!   Millennials don’t know William Shatner as Captain Kirk, they know him as the Priceline Negotiator that pretty much sums it up perfectly.

Personally I believe in quality of life and I like helping others achieve that quality of life through real estate.  The Heilbrun Team recognizes that Millennials are going to be a huge part of that and I look forward to helping as many of them achieve home ownership as we can.  We’re just down to earth people trying to help others with their goals in life!
