You know what today is? THE FIRST DAY OF SPRING! The flowers are blooming, the sun is shining, and the Real Estate Market is about to be BOOMING!! The Spring market is historically the hottest real estate market across the country. So here are a few tips for people who are thinking of selling their home or buying a new home during this crazy spring time market.

First impressions are key! So before you put your home on the market make sure your home is in tip top shape. Take time to finish painting the guest bedroom, replace that beat up carpet, de-clutter the garage, finish landscaping your yard, make your home look as good as possible. Don’t rush putting your house up for sale if you don’t feel like it is ready. Curb appeal is an obvious must-have to get top dollar in the spring.

Pricing your home in the spring is also insanely important. You don’t want to overprice and have your home sit on the market for long, missing out on the best buyers. Sellers are usually scared of under pricing their home, but in a strong real estate market, this can be a good play by getting a lot of bidders. Always ask your real estate professional about pricing and make sure to check the local listings in your area. Knowing your local real estate market during the spring is so important. Every neighborhood and community is different. The best way of knowing your local real estate market is hiring a real estate professional because they know the ins and outs of your local market.
